Delivery Management

You can manage the delivery settings, delivery fee & charges and delivery staff through this module. It further contains five sub-modules.

1. Delivery Settings

Under this module, you can set the delivery settings which affect the delivery mechanism for the whole system. The following functionalities are displayed on this page:

  • Delivery By Seller: You can allow or disallow delivery to be made by Sellers by selecting Yes or No. When set to No, admin will be responsible for product deliveries and the same settings will apply throughout the system.
  • Activate Self Pickup: Click inside this check-box to enable self pickup throughout the portal. This option is enabled by default.

Once done, click on Save Changes.

2. Admin Delivery Slots

You can select the delivery slots available for the shops whose delivery is managed by them. These slots will be displayed to the buyers on the checkout page to schedule their order delivery.

I. Add New Delivery Slots

Click on Add New icon button provided at the upper right corner of the page to open a Delivery Slot Setup pop-up window form displaying the following:

  • From*: Select the slot’s start time from the drop down list.
  • To*: Select the slot’s end time from the drop down list.
  • Add Time Slot: Clicking on the plus icon button at the right of the first delivery slot will display additional From and To fields to add additional delivery time slots.
  • Remove Time Slot: Clicking on the cross icon button at the right of an additional delivery slot will delete that specific slot.
    Note: The last available slot cannot be deleted.

Click on Save Changes once the desired slots are added to move back to the delivery slots page.

Note: The added slots should fall within the seller’s shop timings set from their end. If any slot diverts from the shop timings, the entire slot will not be displayed to the buyer on the checkout page.

II. Action Buttons

The Admin Delivery Slots section displays all the delivery slots. An Action button  is provided at the right of each slot, clicking on which will display the following options:

  • Edit: Clicking on Edit will open the Delivery Slot Setup form where you can edit/update the slot timings in the From and To fields. Click on Save Changes to save the made changes.
  • Delete: Click on this button and follow the prompts to remove a slot from the system.

3. Delivery Charges

On every order received on the portal, certain delivery charges apply to cover the costs of delivering a product from a shop to a buyer. These charges are managed through the Delivery Charges module. Under the Delivery Charges section, the list displays Admin and Seller default delivery charges profiles.

The Admin Global (Default) and Seller Global (Default) are system-added profiles that can not be edited or deleted. However, the Delivery Charges can be edited for these profiles.

I. Add Delivery Charges

An Add Delivery Charges icon button is provided at the upper right corner of this page, clicking on which will open a Manage Delivery Charges form. Add shop specific delivery charges using the following fields:

  • Shop*: Select the shop name from the auto-populated list.
  • Delivery Charge [Default Currency]*: Enter the amount of delivery charges in

    default currency.
    Click on Save Changes to add the delivery charges and move back to the Manage Delivery Charges page. These newly added profiles are displayed under the Delivery Charges section along with their details and a View Shop link, clicking on which, you are redirected to the seller’s shop.

II. Action Buttons

An Action icon button  is provided at the right of each profile clicking on which will display the following options:

  • Edit: Clicking on this option will display the Manage Delivery Charges form where you can edit the Shop and Delivery Charges [Default Currency] fields.
    Click on Save Changes to save the made changes.
  • Delete: Click on this button and follow the prompts to delete a delivery charges profile from the system.

III. Search Delivery Charges 

A search bar is provided at the top of the delivery charges page clicking inside which will expand the section to display the following search filters:

  • Delivery Charge Type: Search delivery charges for Seller or Admin.
  • Shop: Search the delivery charges for a specific shop.
    Clicking on Search will display the results. Click on Clear to display the complete list again.

4. Delivery Staff

Any user registering as delivery staff on the portal will be registered as admin’s Delivery Staff by default. This module displays a list of such users containing the following details:

  • S.no.: Unique serial number of each user.
  • User: User’s name, username, email address, phone number and user ID details.
  • Reg. Date: Date and time of user’s registration.
  • Status : This toggle switch displays the user’s current status and is editable. The Green color shows that the user’s status is Active and the Gray color means that the user’s status is Inactive.
  • Verified: User’s email verification status as Yes or No.

I. Add Delivery User

Click on the Add Delivery User icon button  provided at the upper right corner of this page to open a User Setup form with certain fields. The star marked fields are compulsory:

  • Name*: Enter the name of the user.
  • Customer Name*: Enter a unique username.
  • Email*: Enter a valid email address.
  • Phone*: Select the country code from the drop down list and enter the phone number in the adjoining field.
  • Date of Birth*: Select the user’s date of birth from the calendar drop-box.
  • Documents (upload your vehicle registration and driving license)*: Click inside the field to upload the required documents.
    • Add : Click on the plus icon to the right of the field to add anotherdocument.
    • Remove : Click on the minus icon to remove an added document.
  • Password*: Enter a strong password for the user’s profile.
  • Confirm Password*: Re-enter the password to confirm.
    Click on Save Changes to save the details and move back to the delivery staff page.

II. Action Buttons

An Action button  is provided at the right of each delivery staff profile, clicking on which will display the following options:

  • Edit: Clicking on this option will display the User Setup form similar to the one displayed while adding a new user. Download or Delete the uploaded documents and edit/update the user details other than the user account password, which can be edited separately and is explained later in this section.
    Click on Save Changes to save the made changes and move back to the delivery staff page
  • Change Password: Click on this button to open Change Password window where you can change user’s account password using the following fields:
    • New Password*: Enter the new password.
    • Confirm Password*: Re-enter the new password to confirm.
      Click on Save Changes to save the made changes and move back to the delivery staff page.
    • Delete User: Click on this button and follow the prompts to delete a delivery user from the system.

III. Search Delivery Staff

A search bar is provided at the top of the Delivery Staff page to search a user.

Clicking inside the field will expand the section displaying the following search filters:

  • Name or Email: Enter the name or email of the user to be searched.
  • Active Users: Search by user’s current status, such as, Active or In-active.
  • Reg. Date From & To: Search by registration date or period.

Click on Search to generate the search results. Click on Cancel to display the whole list again.

5. Delivery Staff Fee

Out of the delivery charges set by the admin, a certain proportion is credited to their delivery staff as their fee and the rest is held by the admin themself.

The admin can manage this fee from the Delivery Staff Fee module. A system added Global Fee (Default) profile is displayed on this page which is the universal fee that applies to all the delivery users. This profile can not be edited or deleted by the seller. However, the delivery Fee percentage for this profile can be edited using the Edit function, which is explained later.

A search bar is provided at the top of this page, clicking inside which will expand this section. Enter the name, email or phone number in the provided field and click on Search to generate the results. Click on Clear to display the complete list again.

I. Add New

An Add New icon button  is provided at the upper right corner of this page using which, you can add a new delivery fee profile for a specific delivery user. Click on this button to open a Delivery User Fee pop-up window form with the following fields:

  • Delivery User*: Select the delivery user from the auto-populated list.
  • Fee (%)*: Enter the delivery fee percentage for the delivery user.

The newly added profile will be displayed in the Delivery Staff Fee List.

II. Action Buttons

An Action icon button  is provided at the right of each fee profile clicking on which, the following options are displayed:

  • Edit: On the click of this button, the Delivery User Fee form is displayed where changes can be made in the Delivery User and Fee (%) fields. Click on Save Changes to save the made changes and move back to the delivery staff fee page.
  • Delete: Click on this button and follow the prompts to delete a delivery fee profile from the system.
