SEO Settings

The Misc module allows the admin to view and manage the SEO(Search Engine Optimization) related setting. The admin can provide details such as Meta title, Meta keyword, Meta description and other Meta tags for CMS pages on the website. 

1. Meta Tags Management 

Using the Meta-Tags Management module, the admin can view and manage the meta-tags of all the pages on the website. There are separate tabs to edit meta tag settings for individual entries in other pages, teachers, group classes, CMS page, Blog categories, and blog posts. Clicking on the 3 dots action button brings up the edit option. From here, the admin can edit settings such as identifier, meta title, meta keywords, meta description, and other meta tags as shown in the figure below.


  • General 
    • As shown in the figure below, in the General tab, admin can enter an identifier for the selected page for search reference in future.
       


  • English(Language Data)



    • As shown in the figure above, through this tab, the admin can enter the following details:
      • Meta Title: Enter the meta title.
      • Meta Keywords: Enter the meta keywords.
      • Meta Description: Enter the meta description.
      • Other Meta Tags: Enter other meta tags relevant to the meta title.
      • Other Meta Tags: Enter other meta tags relevant to the meta title.
      • Open Graph Title: Enter open graph title.
      • Open Graph URL: Enter open graph URL relevant to open graph title.
      • Open Graph Description: Enter open graph description relevant to open graph title.
      • Open Graph Image: upload Open graph image with preferred dimensions 1200x 627 .Click on ‘Save Changes’ to finish adding the meta tags

        Note - The same process can be followed to update the metadata for all the languages installed on the platform.

  • CMS Page
    Using this tab, the admin can add meta-tags for the CMS pages created in the Content Pages module. Clicking on the ‘Edit’ icon will redirect the admin to Meta Tag Setup form as shown in the figures below.

  • Advanced Setting
    Through this tab, the admin can add meta-tags for any external page created by the admin on their website.
     
    As shown in the figure above, the admin can enter following details in the General tab - 
    • Controller: Select language type from the drop-down list. 
    • Action Buttons: Enter the meta title. 
    • Record ID: Enter the meta keywords. 
    • Sub-record ID: Enter the meta description
    • Identifier: Enter the identifier for the page

Clicking on ‘Save Changes’ will redirect the admin to the default Language Data tab, which is similar to the one shown in the figure above.

2. URL Rewriting 

This module allows the admin to add, view, and manage URLs for all the teachers, students, and blog pages available on the website. As shown in the figure below, a search bar is provided on the top through which the admin can search particular URLs by entering their keywords.


The ‘URL List’ provides admin certain functionalities: 

  • Add New : Admin must click on this iconto add a new URL. A 'URL' Rewrite Setup box will come up as shown in the figure below, wherein admin must provide:
    • Original URL*: The default URL provided by the system. 
    • Custom URL*: The URL of the admin's choice to replace the default URL. 
    • HTTP code*: Provided with options:
      • 301 Redirect Permanently
      • 302 Redirect Temporary
      • 404 Page Not Found
      • 410 No Longer Available


Admin must click on ‘Save Changes’ to complete the process. The added URL will now appear in the "URL List'. 

In order to change a given URL, the admin needs to click on  this icon under the Action heading, which brings up two options as shown in the figure below

  • Edit - Clicking on this option will redirect the admin to the 'URL Rewrite Setup' menu, where the admin can edit the existing URL settings. Admin must click on 'Save Changes' to finalize the changes.

  • Delete - This option is to delete the selected URL. Clicking here will open up a dialogue box requesting Admin to confirm the delete command.


3. Robot.txt 

This module allows the admin to add, view, and manage robot.txt for all the teachers, students, and blog pages available on the website. The robot.txt is used to disallow the indexing of certain pages on search engines.
